Other Banks ATM Financial and Non-Financial Transaction
- First Three transactions (Financial and Non-Financial)* are free per calendar month in the six metro cities viz. Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad ( and adjoining areas viz. Navi Mumbai, Thane, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Kolkata, Howrah, North and South 24 Parganas.)
- Existing free limit of First Five transactions (Financial and Non-Financial)* per calendar month will be applicable to all Savings Account customer transacting in Non-Metros.
- Financial transaction will be charged at Rs 20/- per transaction.
- Non-Financial transaction will be charged at Rs 10/- per transaction.
ATM Complaint
Failed transactions
- Customer’s complaint on failed transactions to be resolved by bank within 7 working days from the date of receipt of complaint, failing which customer is entitled to compensation for any delay of Rs.100 per day by the card issuing bank.

Incomplete financial transactions
- For incomplete financial transactions (either on Point of Sale Machines / Online transactions), Bank will reverse the funds into Customers account after 7 (working) days.
- If not reversed, Customer has to submit a complaint letter to branch
- Then Bank will raise complaint (chargeback) to the merchant’s bank and reversal or receipt of chargeback slip at Bank’s end may take upto 120 days.
- The procedure is as per RBI/VISA rules
Safety Tips
Tips To Remember When You Receive The Card
- Always keep your card in a safe place, just as you would take care of cash and cheque books.
- Never write down your PIN (personal identification number) anywhere. Memorize it.
- If you receive a replacement card, be sure to destroy your old card by cutting it into four and discard the pieces.
Tips To Remember When Transacting
- Ensure that no one sees you enter your PIN (personal identification number).
- Never allow a stranger to assist you while using an Debit card.
- After completing your transaction, secure your card and cash immediately. Always count your cash before leaving the area and not outside it.
- Change your Debit card PIN frequently, at least once a month
When Debit card is lost or misplaced what immediate steps are to be taken? :
- Inform immediately to card issuing / home branch Telephonically followed by written request form
- You can also use ICBL Mbanking App to Block/Hotmark your card.
Secure ATM Banking
- Memorize your PIN. Do not write it down anywhere, and certainly never on the card itself.
- Do not share your PIN or card with anyone including Bank employees, not even your friends or family. Change your PIN regularly
- Stand close to the ATM machine and use your body and hand to shield the keypad as you enter the PIN. Beware of strangers around the ATM who try to engage you in any conversation.
- Do not take help from strangers for using the ATM card or handling your cash
- Do not conduct any transaction if you find any unusual device connected to your ATM machine
- Press the 'Cancel' key and wait for the welcome screen before moving away from the ATM. Remember to take your card and transaction slip with you.
- If you get a transaction slip, shred it immediately after use if not needed
- If your ATM card is lost or stolen, report it to your bank immediately.
- When you deposit a cheque or card into your ATM, check the credit entry in your account after a couple of days.
- If there is any discrepancy, report it to your bank. Register your mobile number with the Bank to get alerts for your transactions.
- If your card gets stuck in the ATM, or if cash is not dispensed after you keying in a transaction, call your bank immediately.
- If you have any complaint about your ATM/Debit/Credit card transaction at an ATM, you must take it up with the bank
Password Security Tips
- Creating a Secure Password / Card PIN
- whenever you receive your Password / Card PIN, change it immediately.
Never use the following for your Password / PIN:
- Don't use Your kids or closed ones date of birth.
- Don't use self-name or closed ones name for password. b) Don't use easy to guess numbers e.g. 1234 or 3333.
- Don't use Digits of your mobile number.
- Don't use your date of birth or anniversary date.
- Don't use first or last 4 digits of your card number.
Creating a Secure Password
DOs
- Minimum password length should be approx. Eight characters, it is typical but may not be appropriate. Longer passwords are generally more secure but max limit is depends on software.
- Be creative and think of a password that is really different as well as difficult to guess.
- Mix upper and lowercase letters, and special characters like $, @, *, etc.
- Place punctuation or numbers randomly.
DON’Ts
- Don’t use personal information like your name, date of birth, any Card/ID number, etc.
- Don’t use sequences of letters or numbers. E.g.: abcd1234. asdfg123 etc.
- Don't use same password for several different accounts.
Protecting your password
- Change your PIN / Password at regular intervals.
- Memorize your PIN. Don’t record / write down your password or PIN anywhere especially not on your card.
- If you suspect that someone knows your PIN/Password, change it immediately.
- Don’t send your Password or PIN to anyone via email or text message or any other source.
- Don’t say your Password or PIN aloud in public where other people can hear you.
- Don’t have your browser remember your Password / PIN
